The Brain Behind the Beauty
Meet Bratzdoll Dez!
It had always been a dream of mine to help young women build their self-esteem to take the world by storm. I always thought the best way to do this would be to open a group home for young women. I envisioned this place as a safe haven they could turn to when they were to afraid of speaking to their parents or guardians with mentors who were committed to making a difference in their lives.

To make this happen, I spoke with my church's Pastor about starting with a small group at my church home and I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. These plans ended up being placed on hold, but my passion to empower women was still very much alive.

I began working with Department of Highway Safety as my 9 to 5, but never felt fulfilled. The benefits were good, job stability was consistent, and I definitely was appreciative of the opportunity. I always put my job first causing me to miss out on precious moments with my son and loved ones. However, I knew deep down that this was not something I could see myself putting my all into considering the larger purpose placed on my heart. I thought to myself there must be another way to empower women like me and then it hit me!

I’ve always liked to get my eyelashes and eyebrows done because I always liked to look good. I would be in the mirror for hours learning how to apply them. At the time eyebrows weren’t a big thing, so we would put a little eyebrow pencil and go! This inspired me to look deeper into the beauty industry. It may be small, but women who feel beautiful will go out and conquer the world.

In my free time, I became a certified eyelash technician. I booked appointments on weekends for the extra income. Next, I took on learning how to tint eyebrows with temporary makeup. Incorporating these two services allowed me to start making things happen. I was blessed to become busier to where I took a leap of faith. May 2019, I left my 9 to 5 officially to be a Bratzdoll full time.

Making a transition that big meant that I had no choice, but to grind!! I wanted to tap more into my creativity, which lead me to the soap industry. As I researched further, I found that this was the perfect environment to enhance us and help us women feel empowered by their beauty. It's been 6 months so far and we have flourished TREMENDOUSLY! Never would have expected that this is where my passion would lead.

Nonetheless, I KNOW this is what I have been called to do! Everything is made with LOVE and CARE! It is a joy being up all hours of the night creating new ideas and seeing that translate to better skin, lighter menstrual cycles, confidence, and many other things. It is an honor to make people as happy as I have these past few months.
